From the mountains to the plains

As development work goes, field work do let you get some fresh air every once in a while and also lets your eyes soak up some greenery and scenery. A random field trip took me to the mid hills of Central Nepal and the terrain on the way Sindhuli is what I consider beautiful.

We started off from Kathmandu early in the morning and our first stop was at Dhulikhel to refuel ourself before we started what was going to be a hectic day of driving around.

After the mountains we were greeted by yellow paddy fields and mid hills. As you drive you can sense and feel of change in the landscape. From the mountains to the plains to the mid hills and to the terrai, all in one drive is quite something. Through this drive you come to realize that Nepal is quite geographically diverse.

There is something calm and beautiful about these places in between our destinations that makes the ride worth while. The best part of traveling away from Kathmandu is, the clarity. The sharpness in the scenery changes as soon as we exit the capital city. Less pollution caters to fresher air and clearer view.

And to end the tiring day there was the orange sky that said goodbye. But the picture does no justice to how beautiful the sky looked at dusk. As the sun was setting it painted the sky orange and yellow and again the change from yellow to dark was just a beautiful transition to watch with a warm cup of local tea.

Goodbye said the sky
All the photos were taken on the phone and through a moving car so it isn't of the best quality. But hope it brings you all a little bit calm as it did to me. Enjoying some of the perks of being in development while I can and trying to make the most out of it.

Until the next random field trip and until the next blog post.
To finding little adventures and making memories.
