Finding Happiness

Over the years I have come to realise that I have aged and the constant reminder being weddings and baby showers! So recently I was to attend an engagement of a dear friend and the only perk was that it was in Pokhara. I had wanted to visit Pokhara in a while and it seemed like the best opportunity to take a break and also to enjoy the company of good old friends.

Growing up I was always surrounded by brothers or guy friends and when your guy friends start to get married that is when your parents start to freak out and keep reminding you of your age and the fact that it is time to settle down. 

Disregarding all the nagging that I had to hear the idea of Pokhara always make me smile. Pokhara always greats me with fresh air and feeling of calm, I love the feeling of Pokhara.

Other than beautiful scenery Pokhara is known for being lively specially its busy streets and the live music. Late night and a serene morning is how Pokhara is to be enjoyed. Because of the limited time there wasn't much I could do there, but the usual drunk late night and breakfast with a view was not compromised.

The main reason to celebrate Pokhara this time was the quick decision of a friend to get hitched, and though it got us all by surprise, we were definitely happy for him. With 15 minutes of sleep, 5 hours of driving we managed to stay up throughout the day and have fun dress up a little. Saree is not my thing but since it was such a special occasion I had no other choice.

School friends will always have that special place in your heart no matter what. Most of our school group is scattered but we made the most of it regardless. Goofing around, teasing each others never gets old with us. We always find something or the other to smile about every time we get together.

Sometime married friends remind you of the beauty of maturity and companionship and sometime single friends remind you of freedom. Hoping all the happiness to the groom-to-be and cheers to all the singles.
